The second ‘block’ of the new Intensive Course runs from Nov 17 to Dec 17. Open to anyone with some experience of eurythmy, please see the Classes page for complete details.
The annual ALL SOUL’S celebration in remembrance of the dead, will take place on Sunday Nov 2nd. We are once again grateful that it can take place in the Shining Mountain High School Assembly Hall.
Please come share with us this inward artistic calling to mind of those who have passed away, and who can remain close in the spirit through our calling them to mind.
As in the past, the doors will open at 6.30 for quiet candle-lighting and contemplation, with the program itself beginning at 7.00. Once again, the evening will be comprised of a brief sharing of thoughts about the significance of death and dying by Karen van Vuuren of Natural Transitions; followed by an artistic sequence of vocal and instrumental music, speech, and eurythmy. Carma Feigal, Kathleen Starr, and the Sound Circle Eurythmy Ensemble are among the artists participating this year.
Donations are gratefully accepted to help cover the costs of the event.
Mandala – Living the Circle – A weekend Intensive with John Playfoot
The mandala appears both as an actual form/motif and as an invisible template or imagination in many cultures. Can we learn from these appearances? Can the mandala work for us as a tool of development and insight? Through presentations, discussion, and a variety of artistic activities participants will research these questions together, drawing upon a range of sources including Native American cultures, alchemy, and the work of C.G. Jung and Rudolf Steiner.
